Pure White!

As you know i play to supreme scrap tournament 2014 and as my previous layout passed the challenge i am now playing on round 2.

The second round is a monochromatic double layout with at least one black and white photo shared between two pages.

I chose color white as i can not work in any other color base than white....  missed the black though very very much!

My layout was inspired by three wise monkeys See no evil...Hear no evil....Speak no evil... So white was perfect for the no evil part ;)

Everything i used was white plus some vellum with white embossing powder. The stars were painted with deco art tradition white acrylic paint.

So here is my lo wish me luck ;)

During last months i have a "new" obsession....and you all know it! Oh i am so hooked....if a day pass by without crochet i feel ill... So when i read about scraps n pieces first challenge i thought it would be fun to make a layout about this  addiction!

So here is my take and i hope soon to be cured :)

My granny square coat Tah-Dah!!!

Before Christmas my sister bought me some skeins of pink and grey acrylic yarn. As time was passing by i was thinking what i could do with them... They were not enough to make a blanket but plenty to do something big...After months of searching i decided to make a granny square coat...  I knew from start that such a project would be tough and probably i would look ridiculous wearing a coat like that. You see i am chubby and that kind of jackets are not very flattering .... but i decided to give it a try after all i could wear it in the house to keep myself warm ;)

Yesterday after less than a month working on this i finally finished it! Well the sleeves were the greatest challenge and to be honest i am not totally pleased with them.. I don't know yet if i wear it outdoors or just in the house but i am so happy that i managed to complete it :) If i started over i would choose a "lighter weighted"  yarn i think with such a yarn it would be more elegant. But enough with talking let me show you what i made:

As you can see i added some white yarn leftovers from my granny square blanket.
What do you think do you like it????

The station.....

The last few days i take part to a worldwide scrapbooking tournament among other talented ladies ;)

The theme of the first challenge is "1000 steps from your home" and it had to be a "double layout" with at least 3 photos and no mists and 50 word journaling. The no mist part was easy for me but a double layout was something new as i had never made one before....

Near my house there is a beautiful railway station old but beautiful which i really love. So i decided to play along with photos from there.

To help my self i divided the 2 pages to 4 quarters... the first quarter was covered with an A4 vellum print photo and the title the next 2 quarters were covered with the main layout and to the last quarter i used the space for my journaling.

No misting at all , just some drips of red fluid acrylic and some splatters with black ink ;)

I used my favorite colors black-white-red and i used many hearts as i find the stations a very romantic place...don't ask me why maybe from movies....

My journaling says:

Ever since i moved from Athens here i miss terribly the city life... After 5 years i think i start to love this place. Aliartos is a very very small town but it is the town i will live for the rest of my life ... The railstation is my favorite spot! We come here with my son to watch the trains passing by and every time i make the same thoughts It doesn't matter where you go... the journey is the point!

So here is my take :
